I to am very bothered by the excess of bad language in her books especially the romances. I think that it makes the heroins in particular less appealing and attractive. Not only that but it is just hard to keep reading when you have to deal w/ GD on like every page! I think it is definitely being used in excess and completely unnecessary. I have read some of her books like the McCade brothers that didn't have hardly any language and then I'm reading Montana Sky right now which is a great story but FULL of offensive language so much so that I really wish I hadn't already bought the book. I just wish that I knew which of her books didn't have all the cursing so I could stick to those and not be disappointed when I get one that is full of bad language.

I agree with Renee. I don't always like the language; however, the character and their personality/occupation is what creates the language and I feel the language used in ALL cases is part of the character's make up and if spoken by someone else would probably sound different.

I love Nora's writing, especially the dialogue and I won't go as far as to say the language is necessary, it is part of the character and that's what makes a good book - being true to the character and all of their idiosyncrasies.
