Vision in White (Bride Quartet, book 1) cover is so pretty!

While I love a lot of Nora’s covers, there are some that are more favorites than others. The start to her Bride Quartet series is definitely at the top of my list at the moment. Not only is the dress gorgeous, but look at those shoes! The real question left in my mind is whether that’s a sign for something to come in the book for the hero/heroine.

Vision in White

Available April 2009, the start of Nora’s latest series looks good! Not just the pretty cover, but the blurb as well!

Childhood friends Mackensie, Parker, Laurel and Emmeline have formed a very successful wedding planning business together but, despite helping thousands of happy couples to organise the biggest day of their lives, all four women are unlucky in love. Photographer Mackensie Elliott has suffered a tough childhood and has a bad relationship with her mother, which makes her wary of commitment. But when she meets Carter Macguire, she can’t stop herself falling for him, although his ex girlfriend is prepared to play dirty to keep him. Mackensie soon realises she has to put her past demons to rest in order to find lasting love…

Makes you want to preorder today doesn’t? I know I’m going to be counting down until April! I just hope she gets all of these out this year and early next. Four books, with only one being released every six months, well, needless to say that’s going to drive me nuts. I’m not a patient person. But thank goodness I have review copies from WeWriteRomance.com to keep me going while I wait. :)

And the new JD Robb Books site to get going (I can’t believe I’ve held that domain for a year with nothing on it!).

Until I learn more…

Blurb for Black Hills…coming in mid-2009!

I was finally able to find a blurb for Black Hills. It sounds different and exciting!

See what you think:

Lil Chance fell in love with Cooper Sullivan pretty much the first time she saw him, an awkward teenager staying with his grandparents on their cattle ranch in Montana while his parents went through a messy divorce. They spent every summer together, treking in the Black Hills, tracking cougar and falling in love. Then Cooper broke her heart and moved back to New York City. Ten years later and Cooper has given up his job in the police force to run the ranch after his grandfather is injured in a fall. Lil has stayed true to her love of cougars and of the Black Hills and opened an animal sanctuary. She has been targeted by animal rights campaigners in the past but this time someone seems intent on murder. As hikers are killed, animals mutiliated and a family member goes missing, Lil knows that she has no choice but to turn to Cooper for help in her fight for survival …

Finished reading THE PAGAN STONE…

Wow.  I love Nora’s books, but with each trilogy of hers that I read (and I’ve pretty much read them all now and still waiting on the next to start!) I am more and more fascinated at how she keeps her characters alive and somewhat unique.

In THE PAGAN STONE, she surprises me again with her dark imagination.  It’s full of very disturbing imagery.  And I admit after reading some of the reviews on Amazon I was a bit worried I’d be disapointed.  I wasn’t.

While the ending is a bit ‘rushed’ and the descriptions and reasonings a bit hard to follow, I still thought the romance (which is why I read them in the first place!) was wonderfully done.   A few reviewers mention that they didn’t think the two belonged together, that they didn’t believe their relationship had grown and it was about sex and nothing else, but they’re not seeing the trilogy as a whole.  And apparently, they didn’t read the same book I did…with the same discerning eye I did.  I saw the subtle changes and the caring develop.  It was intense at times, but I believe all the elements of a true HEA were there.

I definitely recommend the book.  I hope more readers feel the same as I do.  I enjoyed this series a lot, and as with most of her trilogies, she seems to have saved the best for the last.  :)

Until next time,

AJ
